A Stronger Osseo
Floyd Seres knows that running a small city requires hard work, practical problem-solving, and respect for every taxpayer dollar. As a working-class professional and vested resident, Floyd understands firsthand the balance between maintaining strong public services and keeping living costs manageable for everyday families and seniors on fixed incomes. Floyd believes local government works best when council members listen first but have the ability to see long term viability to make tough decisions. His commitment is straightforward: open doors, clear explanations for every council vote, and thoughtful policies that protect Osseo’s unique heritage while preparing our town for the future that is fiscally responsible.

Key Priorities
1. Responsible Fiscal Oversight & Transparency
Every dollar collected through city taxes and Economic Development Authority (EDA) levies must deliver real value back to the community. Floyd is committed to:
Scrutinizing budgets line-by-line to prevent unnecessary cost burdens on homeowners.
Providing clear, plain-language explanations of proposed municipal expenditures before decisions are made.
Ensuring public development funds are invested wisely with clear returns for Osseo residents.
2. Thoughtful Growth & Preserving Town Character
Osseo's historic, small-town identity is its greatest asset. Growth shouldn't come at the expense of our neighborhood charm. Floyd will:
Support local merchants, independent businesses, and vibrant development along Central Avenue.
Advocate for smart zoning and design standards that fit naturally with existing neighborhoods all while encouraging development that will insure we have an osseo to call home for many generations by increasing the tax base.
Ensure commercial regulations, including new state licensing requirements, protect community standards and neighborhood peace of mind.
3. Safe Neighborhoods & Dependable Infrastructure
A thriving town depends on safe streets and reliable public services. Floyd prioritizes:
Unwavering support for Osseo’s police, fire, and emergency responders to keep response times fast and streets safe.
Proactive planning for roadway resurfacing, pedestrian safety, and long-term utility upkeep.
Maintaining clean, well-lit public parks and community spaces for families and children.
4. Responsive, Community-First Governance
Local representatives work for the residents, not the other way around. Floyd pledges to:
Be directly accessible to residents by phone, email, or conversations on the porch.
Encourage active public participation in city meetings and council discussions.
Focus purely on local solutions that solve real day-to-day problems for Osseo.
